Description

Urinary diseases are among the top 5 reasons for veterinary consultations.

Urinary diseases include:

  • Cystitis
  • Kidney stones
  • Urinary tract infections

Signs of urinary disease:

  • blood in the urine (invisible or, in more advanced cases, visible to the naked eye),
  • difficulty urinating,
  • pain during urination (meowing, abnormal position, etc.),
  • intensive licking of the urogenital sphere,
  • frequent urination,
  • urine outside the litter box (periuria),
  • sometimes, urethral obstruction (partial or total; in the latter case, the urine no longer passes and this is a life-threatening emergency),
  • change in behavior (isolation, loss of appetite, aggressiveness, etc.).

OdourLock® MaxCare™ Blücare® granules help detect traces of blood and/or glucose in your cat’s urine. The presence of blood in urine is strongly associated with urinary disorders in cats, including feline idiopathic cystitis, urolithiasis and urinary tract infections. The presence of urine glucose is often linked to feline diabetes.

Features:

  • Easy to use
  • Non-invasive
  • Quick results
  • Reliable results
  • Made in Canada

Instructions for use and maintenance:

Spread the bag of Blücare® granules evenly over the litter. Remove urine and stool clumps daily with a litter scoop. Wait 2 minutes after urine has come into contact with the granules, then observe the result.

If the granules are WHITE or YELLOW, the test is negative. If they are BLUE, the test is positive: OdourLock® MaxCare™ has detected blood or glucose in your cat’s urine. We recommend that you contact your veterinarian for further tests.

Do not flush granules or litter down the toilet. Clean the tray and change the litter and granules every month. Test results may vary according to conditions of use and other factors such as the cat’s diet and medication.

Note: Granules are not a substitute for veterinary advice. Whatever the color of the granules, if you have any doubts about your cat’s health, we recommend that you contact your veterinarian.
